Johnny Aba, born on March 3, 1956, on Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea, was a prominent professional boxer during the 1970s and 1980s. 

Competing across featherweight, super featherweight, and lightweight divisions, Aba secured multiple titles, including the Papua New Guinea featherweight and lightweight championships, as well as the Commonwealth super featherweight title. Notably, he challenged Eusebio Pedroza for the World Boxing Association (WBA) World featherweight title. 

Throughout his career, Aba amassed an impressive record of 31 wins (14 by knockout), 3 losses, and 3 draws.
